The Fort York Pedestrian Bridges was awarded a CISC Award of Excellence at the 2019 Ontario Steel Design Awards. As part of the Build Toronto initiative, the two new pedestrian bridge structures provide a key link between Stanley Park to the North and the Western area of Fort York grounds to the South, improving the connections between the City, Fort York and the waterfront. Each structure spans across existing Metrolinx Rail Corridors.
ES Fox, the contractor for the bridge steel superstructure erections, retained Harbourside Engineering Consultants to complete the erection engineering and construction engineering.
